My art is a reflection of the world I see and the world I wish to see. By highlighting the whimsy of the simple beauties in life while simultaneously further horrifying the dark cracks and shadows, I contrast reality with fantasy in daily life. Growing up I always enjoyed the what-ifs and possibilities of other worlds, times, and even dimensions. If there was something else out there, I was going to be the one to hunt it down and find it. Unfortunately, I have yet to find the alternate dimension where we can ride on the backs of bumblebees and speak with the monster in the shadows so until that occurs, I plan on creating that world with my own hands. Everyone out there has that sense of adventure and a longing for a make believe world they created at a young age and I believe that it is my job to let them have it. As you look through my work, take time to let yourself fall into a time when unicorns were your dream pet, and the scariest things you could imagine were the shadows inside a cracked open closet. Enjoy yourself while childhood fantasies come back to life on the canvas in front of you.
